Grief Counseling in Colorado Springs

A gentle space to carry your loss, honor your story, and begin again—at your own pace.

There’s no right way to grieve.

Our grief therapy offers a compassionate place to be with your loss. Whether you’ve experienced the death of a loved one, miscarriage, divorce, or another life-altering transition, you don’t have to go through it alone.

What is Grief?

Grief is love, remembrance, and meaning trying to find a place to land.

Grief is a natural response to loss—but that doesn’t mean it’s simple. It can touch every part of life, showing up as sadness, fatigue, confusion, irritability, withdrawal, or difficulty focusing. It can feel disorienting, especially when the world around you keeps moving forward.

Grief isn’t something to "get over." It’s something we learn to carry—with more compassion and less weight, over time. And with the right support, healing becomes not about forgetting, but remembering with peace.

Grief Therapy with Vivus Counseling

Inclusive, Respectful Care for Every Grief Journey

Grief doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you’ve loved—and you’re learning to live again. At Vivus, we respect the deeply personal nature of grief. That includes your cultural background, spiritual beliefs, and emotional pace.

Grief can be hard to talk about. That’s why we begin with presence—not pressure.

The process includes:

  • Schedule a Consultation – Connect with us by phone or online.
  • Complete Intake Paperwork – A few forms to help us understand your needs.
  • Attend Your First Session – A safe, gentle conversation to share your story at your own pace.
  • Build a Personalized Treatment Plan – Rooted in your experience, culture, and grief timeline.
  • Begin Weekly or Biweekly Sessions – 50–60 minutes of support, reflection, and healing.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Some clients come for 8–16 sessions. Others choose to stay longer. We walk with you, wherever you are.
