Eronilde ‘Nil’ Buckley

Nil grew up in northern Brazil and moved to the U.S. in 2007 to pursue higher education. She earned a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UCCS in 2016, becoming a Licensed Addiction Counselor in 2017 and Licensed Professional Counselor in 2018. That same year, she received Full Operating Level approval from Colorado’s DVOMB and became a Domestic Violence Clinical Supervisor in 2022.

Since 2015, Nil has worked in forensic counseling and founded Vivus Counseling in 2018 and C.A.R.E. Forensic Solutions in 2024. She serves as a court-appointed evaluator and treatment provider for Domestic Violence and Veterans Trauma Courts in El Paso County and frequently testifies as an expert witness. She has conducted DV evaluations in custody cases for over seven years and completed IVAT training in 2023.

Nil represents mental health professionals on the DVOMB Board and leads the El Paso County Domestic Violence Task Force. She is the author of The CARE Method Series, a domestic violence treatment curriculum adopted across Colorado, several counties in New Jersey, and expanding nationwide.
